Metallurgy

 

Entire process of extracting and utilizing metals, as well as semi-metals and non-metals required for metallurgical operations, from ore, earth, salts and scrap material.

Methanol

 

Needed in the chemical industry to manufacture formaldehyde, which is used in plastics and fertilizers, as well as for organic compound synthesis.

Methanol synthesis catalyst

 

Catalyst manufactured on a copper-zinc basis and used to produce methanol from synthesis gas.

Methanol-to-propylene (MTP®) process

 

Innovative process developed by Lurgi GmbH to produce propylene from methanol using a Süd-Chemie zeolite catalyst. This makes it possible to manufacture propylene without using oil if, for instance, the methanol is produced from coal.

MTPROP® catalyst

 

Methanol-to-propylene catalysts (mtprop®) are used in the mtp® process.

MULTI-SOURCING

 

Obtaining a product or service from several sources (suppliers, banks etc.), both at home and abroad.

MULTI-CURRENCY CREDIT FACILITY

 

Term for a line of credit or credit facility granted by one or a group of banks which can be drawn on in several different currencies, as agreed in the contract.
